I enjoy playing in the VFW Band of Colorado and the Denver Wind Ensemble weekly -- still doing Bb bass clarinet like in senior year of high school. I have to credit our old band director Ray Simms for getting me hooked on something I've enjoyed now for, what, 45 years?
Main project I'm working on here at Eltron (as a chemical engineer still) is making small commercial units to manufacture a water disinfectant on-site at clients' facilities. It's called dilute PAA (for 'peracetic acid') -- which replaces chlorine use in water, and can also kill powdery mildew and thrips( tiny plant-killing insects) on hemp and MJ. The hemp and MJ treatment market is pretty big here in Colorado, but the water treatment markets are starting to show up in Columbia SA, Mexico, and Florida.
I have to credit Mr. Dennehy the chemistry teacher my senior year for turning me onto chemistry. . . .ended up leading to pretty fun career. Always liked his demonstrations -- like the one when the can full of natural gas went "POW!" up in the air and startled poor Diane Peiss (married to Keith Honey now, I think) right out of her seat ! Do you other folks remember that in morning Chemistry class in 1970-1971 year?
